Suggest Treatment For Painful Urination

I have been having painful urination for a year now. I went today for a colposcopy but it was too painful when they tried to insert the tube into my urethra. What could have caused that? They could not complete the procedure and scheduled me for a MRI.

Hello
Thanks for query.
Based on the facts that you have posted I think you have Stricture of Urethra
(Narrowing of Urethral passage).

However this can be confirmed only of radiological test called Retrograde Cytstourethrogram.

If it turns out to be positive you will need to undergo either endoscopic incision of stricture (Visual Internal Urethrotomy) or open surgery of Urothroplasty depending upon the length of the stricture and tightness of stricture.
