Suggest Treatment For Painful Urination Due To UTI
Hi, a few days ago I began to feel the need to urinate frequently and it was painful when I did. I thought I might have a uti so I got test streps and tested positive on three occasions for leukocytes, but negative every time for nitrites. I read online that since I tested positive for leukocytes, I probably had a uti so I got the azo urinary pain reliever and cranberry tablets. It s been a few days and it hasn t really gotten better, but I m 17 and can t go to a clinic without a parent and my parents can t take me. What should I do?

You have painful urination & leukocytes in blood so you have urinary tract infection. You should go for culture and sensitivity testing of urine. Then you should take antibiotics treatment accordingly. Drugs like levofloxacin, norfloxacin, cepharosporins are useful.
