Suggest Treatment For Painful Swollen Bruise On Breast After Injury

25 years old 2 years post tubal ligation 6 months accidetly puntured breast with a ink pen went to the ER told i was fine cleaned the wound and went home have been fine except a dark spot kind of hard is still there about 3 days ago the same breast came progressively swollen red and purpleish my spouse didnt notice until i said something there is no dishcharge its slightly warmer than my other breast i do feel sharp pain starting underneath my breast and moves up it comes and goes it is tender to touch some times tender than most i am overweight so i am working on that and keeping the area under my breast clean and dry i have had a biol there before. what is this pain and swelling

Continued pain and swelling may be an indication of an infection in the area.

Increased warmth can also occur if an infection is present.

If this is the case then antibiotics would be needed to help treat it.

You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment and treatment.
