Went to emergency room about 3 weeks ago, because of my hip..I can walk for a few minutes when all of a sudden it just gives out which is very painful..This is still going on..My white blood count was high..Plus they were trying to get my heart rate down which stayed around 135 bpm which I told them I had wolfe parkinson white syndrome..Ran all kinds of tests..All he could say is, he knew there was an infection, but didn t know where..Any suggestions? I am 49 years old...
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. You are probably having osteoarthritis of hip 2. Need an X-ray for evaluation of the progression of arthritis. For pain, celecoxib can be taken now. 3. Increased WBC count usually suggests infection. If its neutrophil, possibly bacteria. Stress / hip joint ongoing inflammation also increases WBC count. Full differential count necessary to identify possible cause. 4. As there is no fever, infection possibility could be low. Heart rate needs to be brought down, especially when associated with wolfe Parkinson white syndrome. Supraventricular tachycardia is commonly associated, will require evaluation. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
