Suggest Treatment For Painful And Hard Lump Like Cyst In Vagina

Hi, my girlfriend has a bump like cyst on her right labia minora and it s on the inside of the labia by the vaginal opening. I looked at it and at first I thought it was a pimple, but it s hard and it s a little bigger than a pea. She says it hurts. What do you think I should do to help her?

I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely Bartholin cyst which usually occurs due to blockade of bartholin glands.Infection can supervene in that.In such condition i advise antibiotics like clindamycin for my patients.Warm compression with towel will gives pain relief also.Excision of cyst if it persist or marsupialization if it is recurring, can be done.It is better to have an examination with gynecologist and rule out the condition.I also recommend my patients to use intimate wash regularly to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH and there by prevent from getting further infections.Hope this may help you.
