Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Upper Arm

i have pain in my right upper arm between my bicep & shoulder but not in the bicep, when doing push ups or with sudden movement like swatting a fly. This began a few months ago after playing soccer. In a tackle i clashed with another player going for the ball & to prevent myself falling over grabbed onto his arm. After the game my upper arm was sore.

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Here with out checking and doing some physical test it's difficult to say what it is. So I suggest to visit a orthopedic or Physiotherapist who can check on your shoulder muscles.
As per your explanation it looks like muscle soreness close to your shoulder level which is painful. I suggest to give rest for one week to affected shoulder.. As well also use cold and hot pack to reduce inflammation and increase healing process in soft tissue. Do not do any activity which pains.
Try this for 4to 5days and if pain is not reducing then visit a doctor as I suggested earlier. Take care
