Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 65 year old female. I had ingrown toenails removed 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I had pain below one of the toes that lasted a couple hours. Later the pain moved closer to my heel and has persisted for about 36 hours now. I noticed that I have a very small lump there now.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This seems in relation to the plantar wart type lesion.
Follow certain basic guidelines as under for better results. • Apply alternate ice and lukewarm water immersion 3 to 4 times a day • Take Tylenol • Keep the leg elevated over 3 pillows when resting • Further guidance can be availed with high-resolution photograph of the lump • Avoid injury or walking barefoot • Wear soft slippers with acupuncture technology
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
