Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Ribs

I have been having pain over the last week - sometimes in my right side below the ribs, sometimes the left side below the ribs, sometimes in my back (making it hard to stand up straight), sometimes in the hip area. I had my celebrex 200 mg o.d. doubled last friday. Could this be causing my discomfort?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Rib pains could be due to muscle strain, costochonditis, heart and lung pathology.
Take following advices:
Continue celebrex but thrice daily for 5-6 days
Apply volini gel
Wear elastic bandage that support the breathing and reduce pain
Apply warm pad application
Avoid activity that cause strain and take bed rest.
If not resolves then go for chest Xray and ECG to rule out heart and lung problem.
Hope this may help you
