Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Left Eye

I woke up with my eye feeling bruised. It feels like there is a foreign body on my left eye but I just felt it right after I woke up. It hurts everytime I blink and try to squeeze and rub it, but it looks normal. It doesn t look swollen or reddish. What should I do?

Hi
Painful eye with no history of trauma is a common complain and in most cases will need no treatment. In your case, it could mean an eye infection or just an irritation from an unnoticed irritant. It is not yet an emergency anyway since it doesn't look swollen or red.I will advise you just clean your face with clean water and observe. If symptom continues or eye becomes red or swollen, you see an Ophthalmologist for examination. You may need an anti-inflammatory eye drop and maybe antibiotic eye drop if any arguments in favour of an infection.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
