Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Heels

Thank you. I have been having severe debilitating bilateral heel pain for 13 months. I have been to podiatrist, orthopaedic surgeon, and spine specialist and have not been able to determine a cause. Been on oral cortisone, injectable cortisone, anti-inflammatories, physical therapy and nothing helps. I am going back to another podiatrist next wee to start over. Had MRIs on lumbar spine and right ankle and heel. Nothing done on left one yet. Only thing found is routine back issues with age (age 68) and small bone spur on right foot not impinging on anything. I am at my wits end as I can barely walk. Any thoughts? Susan Behm

General & Family Physician 's  Response
you need to do laboratory investigation to check
serum uric acid
if elevated it may lead to such complaint
also it could be planter fascias inflammation
and to decrease your pain you need to wear comfortable shoes and don't move without foot wear and also you can put silicone pad in the shoes under heel , this will be comfortable .
put your legs in warm water at night before bed
also using walking stick to support you while walking to decrease weight on the affected leg.
