Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Buttocks And Thighs
I have begun to have pain in my buttocks and tops of my thighs ( upper legs). It feels like muscle pain..... as if I have been working out and is especially painful when I get up and begin my day. I have not been doing any form of excerise and have a sediatery job. I do have end stage OA especially in both knees and DDD of the spine. This began suddenly about two weeks ago and is especially painful but does not have the running down my leg pain as with sciaticia.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Hip osteoarthritis also can give such pain. So better to rule out that by doing X ray of hip joint after consulting your orthopedician. As you have degenarative disc in spine it can be pain from nerve irritation also. Manoeuvres by orthopedician will be helpful to rule out this. In such case muscle relaxants and physiotherapy will be helpful to clear it.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
