Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Breast

I have been having problems with my left breast it seems to hurt and I have been having problems a little more now I visit my OB and have my mammo every year and nothing seems to show up. I had a biop in 2003 and that turned out with nothing. I was wondering if I should have a greater concern.

Hi,

This depends what is causing the pain in the breast . This can be due to infection mastitis or ductitis. This will depend on age, the use use of contraceptives, the last delivery ( when breast feeding breast abscess are more common). Breast exam and Mammogram will be useful test to do.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
