Suggest Treatment For Pain In Testicles

Age: 13
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 125 lbs.
Problem: Pain in right testical. No trauma history or other problems in this area before. Not sure what it is but I am hoping it is just a minor problem. Nothing like testicular cancer or torsion of any kind.
Thank You.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Pain in the right testicle without any history of trauma or other problems in this area can be due to the following reasons:
Testicular torsion as you rightly thought about.
Epididymistis or Epididymo-Orchits
Nerve stretching due to development of hernia
Nerve entrapment syndromes
congenital blockage of the vas deference

I would suggest you the following:
Ultrasonography and color doppler of the abdomen and the scrotum
Urologist's opinion and examination
Scrotal support
and further treatment as may be needed depending upon the clinical evaluation and physical examination.
I find this answer helpful
