Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Thank you Pallavi for the question.I would like to suggest that you give detailed investigation report if done any like blood tests, X rays, MRi urine test etc etc and also the medications she has recieved till date.
with brief history provided by you it seems your mother has advanced osteo-arthritis of the knees.Physical therapy, fomentation, massage, knee supports/braces and pain medicines aree usual treatments, but in case none of are helping then she may be having problem which may need to be treated surgically
There are few options depending on condition of knee, its internal damage, alignment etc
consider talking to knee surgeon

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Vaibhav Gandhi's  Response

Hello,

I have studied your case with diligence.

Poly arthritis can be rheumatoid variety.

You can take dose of methotrexate.
I will advise dose 7.5mg weekly.
You can start combination consulting your treating doctor

NSAIDs, DMARDs (disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs) are sometimes prescribed in severe cases.
Newer biologics have role in RA.

There is good role of diet and achieve correction through it, for details you can directly contact on my profile
