Suggest Treatment For Pain In Eye

I had cataract surgery in November 2013, I kept having inflamation in the right eye. My Dr. kept increasing the dosage of prednislone acetete eye drops and every time I try to get off the drops I get severe pain and scratchy like feeling plus sensitivity to light in the eye....What do you think would cause this?
