Suggest Treatment For Pain In Episiotomy Stitches

I had a hysterectomy 2weeks ago and am experiencing pain with my episiotomy stitches. There does not seem to be any swelling. When can I expect the stitches to go. I am Applying warm compresses and have some relief but the pain keeps me from sitting and walking properly.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Of course the surgery conducted is a major one and you may feel sore for several weeks. Just make sure you start rehabilitation and keep yourself moving rather than seated or immobile in one position.

Depending on the wound and type of sutures used, the doctor will be able to comment on removsl of the sutures.

Please have patience and be strong, this will soo n subside ma'am.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
