Suggest Treatment For Pain In Ears And Jaw

My ear aches a little and so does my jaw. I also have a Canker Sore on the same side of my mouth. I've been putting over the counter ear drops in my ear and laying on a heating pad and getting plenty of fluids. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain ear and jaw aches can be either due to ear infection or can be due to disorders associated with jaw joint also known as Temporomandibular joint..
Canker sore can however may or may not be related to the ear and jaw pain and you occur due to a number of causes like deficiency of iron and Vitamin B12, iron, stress, physical trauma, acid reflux etc..
At times it occurs with no underlying cause..
I would sugges you to consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and otoscopy of the ears to rule out the exact cause of pain and to confirm whether it is related to ear and treat accordingly..
In case if it is not related to ear and TMJ is suspected you will be referred to an Oral Physician for a diagnosis and treatment..
As of now you can take Tylenol or diclofenac for relieving pain..
You can also apply numbing gel over the canker sore to relieve pain..
Take multivitamins and do warm saline gargles..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
