Hi, I took a shower today and found once I was dry that I could feel a water build up in my left. (This is normal it happens a lot to me) but it didn t drop out like usual. Infact it s now causing me immense pain and I can t hear normal sounds in my right and a slightly delayed tinny in my left. Even the slightest sound is causing me a lot of pain and I don t know what it is or how to get rid of it Cristina
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood that you developed pain and reduced hearing in the ear after a shower, so much that even the slightest sound is causing the pain. This is more indicating of the development of fluid under pressure behind the tympanic membrane. It is possible that the wax in the ear might have also got swollen die to water. but this is rare cause. Hence it is imperative for you to consult a Doctor and preferably an ENT to have examination of the ear to see the cause. And get treated accordingly.
