Suggest Treatment For Pain Caused By Lingual Nerve Damage?

I have Lingual nerve damage caused by a needle. It happened 10 days ago, and is very painful. My dentist has said the only thing I can do is wait for the pain to go. I've been reading that steroids might help? Should I push this with him, or is there really nothing that can be done?

thanks for your query. i have gone through your query. the lingual nerve damage takes time to heal it may vary from weeks to months. you have to take analgesics with nerve regenerating agents like capsule neuorobion. be careful about your tongue and the lingual mucosa since that area will be numb. you can also take an analgesic. i hope my answer will help you take care.
