Suggest Treatment For Pain At The Bottom Of The Rib Cage

I have a dull ache sometimes real sharp pain on the left side of my left rib cage , almost at the bottom of the ribs moreless ttowards the back side It doesn t hurt to touch it only when stretched or contracted. It started hurting after shoveling gravel rock

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Since you have developed pain after physical activity (shoveling-digging), in my opinion you are having musculoskeletal pain mostly.
But we should rule out cardiac cause first for left side chest pain.
So get done ECG to rule out cardiac cause.
If ECG is normal than no need to worry much for cardiac cause. It is musculoskeletal pain mostly due to shoveling gravel rock.
So try to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavy weight lifting.
2. Avoid strenuous exercise and movements causing pain.
3. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
4. Take painkiller aand muscle relaxant.
5. Apply warm water pad on affected site.
