Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Foot While On Furosemide

o n oct. 19 I had swelling in my left leg and foot, started taking furosemide 20 mg for six days, then and since I had aching shoulders (both sides) even today the pain is unbearable. I have been taking four to six extra strength Tylenol daily for pain. What can I do to help with this? Thanks, Benny

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
unilateral leg swelling may due to local cause. u should not lasix for that. body pain is due to potassium loss by lasix tablet. first stop lasix tablet. please dont use lasix without doctor prescription. drink plenty of water and tender coconut. this will increase ur potassium level and body pain will be reduced. for leg swelling, kindly consult a surgeon.
