Suggest Treatment For Pain And Stiffness In Thumb

my left thumb has become extremely stiff to move. and the pain is really intense an runs up my forearm.I am unable to button my pants or hook my bra due to the pain in and around my thumb,palm and a shooting pain up the inside of my forearm. this started two weeks ago and has continuously got worse. After a nights rest I can move it a little bit,but soon any movement or pressure on the thumb the terible pain is back again.

You have not mentioned your age, the symptoms probably are due to exaggeration of symptoms of arthritis at base of thumb. you need an Plane X Ray to diagnose this trouble, and the treatment is dependent on the stage you are diagnosed with. meanwhile take analgesics, stop working with that hand and consult a Hand Surgeon
