Suggest Treatment For Pain And Numbness On The Thumb
Last night at practice my thumb got pushed towards my palm and it popped, it was a little painful but I was able to continue my practice. Now today it keeps going numb and is a little painful. I broke this thumb about two years ago, and there is slight bruising where I had broken it. I also was recently diagnosed with lupus, so it could be that.. But my thumb has never felt like this so I m not sure if it s the lupus.
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got your thumb injured during practice .Probably it is sprain. Treatment of it is rest ,analgesic such as ibuprofen and icing.Slight bruising will automatically resolve with time. However you can apply thrombophobe gel locally 3 times a day without rubbing to resolve it early. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
