Suggest Treatment For Optic Nerve

I am 80 years old and I had a pituitary tumor removed in 2002,it was sucessful and now I am having eye problems and they say the tumor was pressing on the optical nerve. Now after aging it could effect my eyes. Is there any treatment for this optical nerve.

Thank you.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having a pituitary tumor and having compression on the optic nerve.
The treatment of the condition is by surgery to relieve the compression on the optic nerve. Optic nerve is the only cranial nerve which will not regenerate once damaged, hence it is important to prevent compression and damage of the optic nerve to prevent irreversible visual loss.
Hence I advice you to undergo surgery at the earliest with consultation with your neurosurgeon.

Thank you
