Suggest Treatment For Occipital Migraine

i went to orthopedition with a pain in back side of head and neck, he dignosed as occipital migrain. and prescribed betacap tr 40, sibellium and rekoll d. since iam hypertensive and already taking Tenorimin 50 mg cardace 5 mg. doctor is it advisable to take betacap tr 40.

Hi.

I understand your concern.

Betacap contains propranalol and it ia useful for prophylaxis in migraine. Propranalol has nothing with your blood pressure problem. It doesn't change much if you are on anti hypertensive medicines. Regular blood pressure monitoring is advisable while you are on betacap. It can be taken in hypertensive patients.

Other prophylactic medicines are flunarizine / amitriptiline / topiramate / sod valporate etc.
So discuss with your doctor about alternative options.

Consult neurologist and get help.
