Suggest Treatment For Obstructive Sleep Apnea

I have restless leg syndrome, taking Mirapex ( pramipexole 0.5 mg ) twice a day I have all the side effects mentioned here in the article except nausea, constipation. Sleepiness is bad for driving and reading, or watching TV . I also have Obstructive sleep apnea. I have more problems but I want to know if I stop Pramipexole, I will feel relief in many symptoms. Then, how do I treat restless leg syndrome?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have obstructive sleep apnea . I would suggest to consult doctor without any delay , because severe sleep apnea can lead to cardiac arrest . Doctor may order sleep study . Doctor may recommend CPAP machine after sleep study . For now try to reduce your weight by controlling your diet and doing light exercises , also try to sleep on side . Also consult your doctor for side effects of the medicines you are taking . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
