Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Nose After Dental Procedure

How do I stop the bee sting like feeling in my nose from being numbed for dental work to remove a cavity in a front upper right tooth 14 hours ago? Most of the numbness is gone though 2 hours after dental procedure, I was just starting to feel my lip and nose. I tried a little heat, like the dentist suggested. I put a wet washcloth in the microwave for minute, then placed it over the area. I need to get sleep. Exhausted. Too many 430 am mornings for work and 10 pm bedtimes recently.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of numbness in nose after dental procedure in upper front tooth area which seems to be due to effect of local anesthesia and it could be minor damage to peripheral nerve endings due to massive instrumentation.

Need not to worry. i would suggest you to visit dentist once and get complete examination done again. Normally effect of anesthesia will go away in 5-6 hours. Apply ice cold packs on affected area . Take muscle relaxant medication and diet rich in vitamin B12.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
