Suggest Treatment For Night Sweats And Low Grade Fever

I am 58, female, and had a hysterectomy at age 45. I have always had a abundance of energy until the last year or so. I was told I have Fibromyalgia about 8 years ago. I take 60 mg of Cymbalta normally, but occasionally 120 during the winter months ( depends on severity of pain). For the last 2 weeks I have been sweating like a pig. Night sweats, day sweats, low grade fever (1 or 2 degrees above normal). I m exhausted, ache all over, gone to doctor and given antibiotic (Cefdinir 300 mg twice a day). No change - Blood test say normal. What is wrong with me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.
I understand your concern.

Low grade fever,sweats,fatigue .
It can be because of the effects of fibromyalgia itself causing flares/presence of other autoimmune disease.
Also there is possibility ,as fibromyalgia decreases body immunity, low grade fever with sweats may be a sign of Tuberculosis.
This can be only assessed through certain investigations like X ray chest, blood test for RA and other autoimmune antibodies.

For controlling fibromyalgia flare, measures like healthy diet ,avoiding food high in refined carbs and fats, adequate hydration and regular exercising will help keep the muscle pain and stiffness under control.
You need to consult your physician to rule out above possibilities.
Hope this information helps.
Wish you good health.
