Suggest Treatment For Nerve Pain In The Urethra Due To Low Estrogen
Hi - I have nerve pain in the urethra due to low estrogen. I do not have a yeast infection, nor herpes, nor a bladder infection but am having tremendous pain for the past 5 days. My doctor gave me premarin cream but the pain continues, off and on throughout the day. Is there any relief for my condition
The premarin cream can help but it may take many months to take effect. You could try one of the urinary tract anesthetics like pyridium which you can buy over the counter and see if that will help. If not your doctor could try a medication like gabapentin that can treat nerve pain. In the mean time also avoid foods that are irritating to the urinary tract like citrus, tomatoes, caffeine and any foods that are spicy.
