Pediatrician 's  Response
At what age was the child diagnosed? In nephrotic syndrome increased albumin in urine can be caused by any infection in the body. Also since how long is the child taking steroids? There can also be a possibility of steroid non responsive nephrotic syndrome which depends on the duration of your steroid therapy. In such cases , first the focus of infection is to be looked for and treated. If patient does not respond, second line drugs and renal biopsy can be thought of depending on the indications.
