Hi..
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you have got a
sinus infection and all the symptoms you are facing are due to sinus congestion only leading to
sinusitis.
As the roots of upper wisdom teeth are close to sinuses therefore t times the floor of the sinus can get perforated during extraction or there can be slipping of root pieces into the sinuses causing infection..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline
nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing
Xylometazoline or
Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..
In case if there is any root piece inside the sinuses or there is opening between the extraction socket and sinuses surgical correction of the same has to be done followed by medication..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
