Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. You have main problems of recurrent depression, somatic muscle pains, flashbacks of past etc. These symptoms are non remitting even with medicines. A lot of individuals with recurrent resistant depression fails to respond to conventional
anti depressant medicines, and for such cases it is advised to add some mood stabiliser drug like Lithium carbonate or
Lamotrigine or some augmentation drug as
vitamin B12, thyroid hormones or some other antidepressant drug mainly SNRI drugs. The choice of these drugs depends upon co-morbid conditions and clinical condition of patients. I would advise you to visit your
psychiatrist again and discuss about these medicines.
Some muscle pains associated with depression also respond to medicines like Pregabalin or Gabapentin. For flashbacks and depressive symptoms Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy (CBT) also helps to correct faulty thought processes and cognitive distortions and would result in improvement.
Consult your psychiatrist again for reevaluation.
Thanks, hope this helps you. Take care
