Hi, I m a 43 yr old woman, BMI 36. I ve been feeling very tired for about 2 months. Last week I was diagnosed with multiple pulomary emboli. I also was found, on examination, to have an enlarged spleen. The last couple of days my stomach has become really bloated (more than usual) Can you tell me what this indicates please?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
You are having morbid obesity.
And so possibility of dyslipidemia is high in your case.
After the age of 40 years (perimenopause), women are at increased risk of thromboembolism.
So your weight and age are causative factors for multiple Pulmonary emboli and spleenomegaly.
Treatment of this is weight reduction and anti coagulant therapy with warfarin or Coumadin.
These anti coagulant drugs cause gastritis.
And this gastritis is likely cause for your bloating of stomach.
So better to take proton pump inhibitors (antacid) in the morning on empty stomach.
Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
Go for walk after meals.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
