Suggest Treatment For Multinodular Goiter

Hi Doctor,

I had a multinodualr goiter and had FNAC. The report shows

1. Right lobe has many foamy macrophages and isolated follicular cells. No Papillary fragmnets are seen.

2. Left lobe shows mostly leukocytes. Thyroid epithelial cells are not seen.



Kindly let me know whether i have to go for surgery to remove the thyroid gland. Can it be cured by medicenes.

The cytology result, fortunately, is not suggestive for malignant pathologies.
If you do not have clinical symptoms or a large compressive goiter,there is no need for surgical intervention.
