Suggest Treatment For Mucus Discharge While Coughing And Sneezing

i have quit smoking 3 months back after smoking 10-12 cigs for 27 years. I am still not completely free from the mucous that comes out when I sneeze or cough. A little not much. Doctor has prescribed Montek LC (Montelukast sodium and levocetrizine hydrochloride tablets) once at night. Pl advice.

If you have smoked for 27 years then it would be advisable to undergo lung function test to assess you lung capacity and if smoking has reduced it, which is the cause for your cough and mucus. Also it will help to put you on treatment . You might be having a allergic component as well. Consult a pulmonologist for the same.
