Suggest Treatment For Missed Period While Suffering From PCOS
Hi Doctor, I haven t got my periods for the past 3 months and I am trying to conceive for almost 4 years now. I am obese and have pcos, my doctor has recommended me to take primolut n for 5 days and today is the 6th day since I started but still no periods! is something wrong with me?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Missed period while suffering from PCOS is normal. It is possible to miss periods for so many months while suffering from PCOS.This is due to anovulatory (no ovalation) cycles which are common in PCOS.Premolut N may help give you period since it is a progesterone. After taking this drug for about a week, a withdrawal bleeding is expected is 2 to 7 days.If it happens, you may see your Gynecologist for evaluation and if need be, ovulation drugs like clomiphene since you are looking for a baby. The treatment of PCOS however depends on if you want a aby or not.Your Gynecologist will be in the best position to take the best decisions for you. Hope this will help Best regards
