Suggest Treatment For Minimal Change Disease
Dear doctor, my son 3 years old now.he is suffering from nephrotic syndrom from 10th of his birth month on wards.he is under steroids now(25 mg).it is diagnosed as minimal change disease.whenever we reduce the dosage of steroid from 25 to20.......like that when it reaches 5mg relapse is occurring otherwise any infection comes relapse will happen.the infections mainly in the form of cold.now along with steroid our doctor suggested to give levamisole and lasma 4.doctor i am afraid of the side effects of steroid..suggest me some thing to help my child.

I really appreciate your concern, of course there are some side effect of steroid but because of this it can not be stopped because steroid therapy is more important no matter what the side effect are, but whatever the side effects that come to normal once the therapy stops, hope this information helps, take care.
