Suggest Treatment For Mild Fever And Body Ache
Last five days mild fever..taken the medicine cheston cold from three days morning and evening and before that took crocin and relent syrup. Fever goes for 8 to 10 hours if I take medicine otherwise I feel mild fever and body ache. Pls suggest what to do ?

Your symptoms are highly suggestive of a viral infection (fever, cold, body ache). Usually, viral fever runs its own course for 5-7 days and subsides. If temperature goes beyond 100 F, or you are having severe headache/body ache, you can take paracetamol (650 mg), but not more than 3-4 tablets a day. You can continue with the cough syrup. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and have a course of multivitamins. However, if fever is persisting beyond 1 week and you are having other symptoms like cough with sputum, difficulty in breathing, burning during urination, bleeding from any site, it would be advisable to go for some tests like - complete blood count, malaria parasite/dual antigen and CRP, to check for any secondary infection. Please do consult you physician for clinical examination and advise on further management.
