Suggest Treatment For Mild Antral Gastritis

Hi, I have been diagnosed with mild antral gastritis. I have pain irrespective of what I eat. Even yoghurt. Just finished the triple therapy but the pain still has not lessened. Is that normal? Are there any particular good that might help and ones I should avoid?

Dear- I understand your concern. You are having chronic gastritis secondary to H.pylori, that is why you had the triple therapy. However, sometimes the bacteria does not die with only one treatment and you need a second to kill it. I recommend you to have a healthy diet, avoid caffeine, spicy food and any irritants and see if you improve. If you still having pain, you will need to see a gastroenterologist for another endoscopy with biopsy or a breath test, which helps in the diagnose of H.pylori.
