Suggest Treatment For Malaise, fever And Diarrhea

My wife contracted an awful cold virus 5 weeks ago and still has general malaise, coughing, congestion, etc. She has been to the doctor 3 times and got some nasal drop antibiotic. She is not getting better. Now she has developed a 101.1 degree fever, diarhea, dry heaves (because she has no appetite and has eaten very little). She is drinking water and has stopped her vitamin regemine. She has no energy and is weak/ I think she may need an IV. She is sleeping 14 hours a day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that she might require evaluation of her case.
From symptoms she might be having typhoid fever.
Go for,
1, x-ray chest,
2, complete blood testing like TC, DC, platelet count,
3, Widal test for typhoid.
It seems that she might be having dehydration and weakness so she might require IV infusion.
Consult physician and get examined.
After all reports, plan of treatment can be decided.
Meanwhile give her plenty of water, fruit juices and keep her well hydrated.
Ok and take care.
