My husband has 4 masses on one of his lungs. The first biopsy came back cancerous and we are awaiting news of the 2nd biopsy sometime today or tomorrow. He started Chemo this week. I was not with him when he saw the doctor so I didn't hear all that was said. I noticed bruising on his arm---and I've never seen a bruise on him in 11 years. My husband said it may or may not have to do with his condition. What could that mean?
Hi Since your husband has lung cancer and his chemotherapy has already started bruising in his arm could be due to low platelet level in his blood due to the affect of chemotherapy or it may be due to the affect of the chemotherapy drug which was injected. I suggest u do a completed blood count test and find out the amount of platelet in his blood. If it is more than 90000 then next chemotherapy can be given. Regards DR De
