General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

It seems that your father is having stage4 lung cancer which has spread to the other organs.

Stage 4 lung cancer is end stage cancer which is inoperable and incurable and if patient is asymptomatic then chemotherapy should be given to prevent further spread of tumour.

Without chemotherapy, stage 4 lung cancer could have life expectancy of less than 1 year.

So chemotherapy should be started irrespective of symptoms in stage 4 lung cancer, to improve life expectancy.

However, your oncologist know more about the health conditions of your father but you may take some other doctor's opinion based on his reports.

Wish you good health.
Thanks.
