Suggest Treatment For Lung Cancer That Can T Be Operated

my husband has lung cancer and its only on the right side,but where its located its not operable. we didn t find out till late 2013,and the only reason then is he thought he had phenmonia.so we took him to the er .and the er doctor took an x-ray and didn t like what he saw and went that extra step and ordered a cat scan.otherwise tom may not be here as I am typing this. he is 51 yrs old. and its in stage 4 and its in remission I guess u could say. are u following me so far? anways my question is hes been really tired lately .is there anyway of like knowing if this cancer is out of remission? we are scared to death..please help..

Your husband is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer and basic aim of treatment now is palliative chemotherapy which would improve his quality of life.
I suggest u do EGFR and ALK mutation test on his biopsy sample.
If mutation is positive then oral chemotherapy like erlotinib and crizotinib with less side effects will work for to improve his overall survival.
