Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic,

I am Dr.Naveed Ullah khan,

I have read your question in detail and will try to help you in the best way possible.

It can simply be a lipoma which is a benign growth of the subcutaneous tissues under the skin. Mught be a lymphnode which is enlarged.
Usually if it does not grow in size over a long period of time and it does not bother u then it is okay. But if u are having any other symptoms like fever, redness pain etc with the lump then i highly suggest doing a workup for that. An ultrasound.would be able to identify the conture amd consistancy of the mass. If needed a biopsy would be.important to ruleout any dangrous causes like cancers.
Infections can also cause such lumps but tjat is rare as you are having it dor a long time now but in case.of infection antibiotics would take care of it.

I hope this answered all your queries, if you have more queries,I will be happy to answer.

Wish you the best of health.

Regards.
