Suggest Treatment For Lump On The Cheek Bone

Hi, I have had a small hard lump (like real small) on my cheek bone for what seems like ever now. It s never bugged me besides just feeling it and id say in the last few weeks I started squeezing it and it finally popped I guess you could say. A little bit of pus came out as well with a strange smell. And now every day or every other day it reforms and and I squeeze the little bit of pus out and it goes away until the next time. Is it something I should worry about?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of lump on the cheek bone which seems to be due to periodontal absess, infected tooth leading to dental abscess, hematoma and sinus issues. Need not to worry. I would suugest you to

- Start applying ice packs to affected area thrice a day.

- Keep elevated the affected area above the level of heart and compress the area with the help of bandage.

- Maintain complete hygiene.

- Take anti inflammatory medications like Diclofenac .

It will take 2-3 weeks to go away. If it persists more then that period the you should visit oral surgeon once and get X-ray of that particular tooth done and start treatment as per diagnosis.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
