Suggest Treatment For Lump On Jaw Bone

I have a lump in the left side of my jaw, It's not huge but I had my wisdom teeth taken out a week ago and I finished my antibiotics yesterday. It doesn't hurt to touch it, but i got hit in the face and that really hurt. Should I go back to the dentist?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain a bump at the site of wisdom tooth extraction after a week is not an abnormal finding and it occurs due to tissue injury leading to inflammation and hematoma formation as well as tissues gets inflamed and swollen..
As you have got hit over the face the inflammation is much more pronounced and you need not to worry as it can take a little longer but will heal..
You can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do alternate warm and cool compresses over the lump..
Take a soft diet and in case of pain you can apply an analgesic gel containing Lignocaine over the lump..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
