Suggest Treatment For Lump On Head Of Child After Injury

My 10 month old fell off our bed about a week ago. I watched him closely for signs of concussion, and he had no symptoms. Pupils were fine, mood was fine, he s crawling and doesn t seem dizzy at all, sleep has been normal, he s alert and happy, etc. But he did have a large and squishy lump form on the side of his head. It doesn t stick out much and isn t really noticeable to look at, but it s about 3 inches long and maybe 1-2 inches tall just above his ear. It s squishy to the touch, but no bruising and it doesn t seem painful. It doesn t seem to be getting better after a week.

Thanks for using HCM, I understand your concern and will try to give you my medical advice, the lump is a trauma consequence and you are feeling squishy because is an inflammatory process containing exudates and sometimes blood, you're doing great checking for abnormal neurological sign but his body is going to need some time (2-3weeks) to absorb those fluids in a natural way I hope that my advice has been helpful and continue taking care about your son, regards
