Suggest Treatment For Lump In The Throat

For the last week, I have felt like I have a lump in my throat that makes me feel as if someone is choking me. I have virtually no appetite and have lost around 10 pounds over a 7 day period. I do get acid reflux occasionally, but only usually once a week at most and it is usually mild. In the last couple of days my tonsils have became swollen and irritated and I feel like I have hair stuck in the back of my throat even though there is nothing there.Any idea what could be wrong with me?

Hi.
The feeling of something in the throat can be due to Globus Pharyngis, a condition usually sen in people with lots of stress and mental tensions.
Before one is labelled to have this problem it is mandatory to have one Endoscopy of the pharynx, esophagus and stomach to decide for the GERD, Gastric ulcer, lymphoid hyperplasia and other conditions.
The treatment comprises of ::
PPI or Ranitidine,
Antacid gel.
antibiotics if there is infection in the pharynx, tonsils or so and also an anti-inflammatory medicines.
