Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
For starters,If possible take some rest and analgesics with muscle relaxant, antacids, avoid forward bending, wt lifting sitting below the level of knees.
If pain doesn't get relieved Further investigation is required and expert opinion is needed.
Go for xray.
If xray is normal than rest, medication and physiotherapy will do.
If xray is suggestive of any bony problem than follow the expert s advice.
If pain persist after initial rest, medication as prescribed by expert and if expert thinks than only go for mri because its expensive.
Don't take it lightly because it can persist if proper care and treatment not taken on time, for some time and over the period of time.
Hope it was helpfull.
Take care and be careful.
