Suggest Treatment For Low Haemoglobin Levels

myself 47 years , my haemoglobin percentage is going on 7.5 to 8.2 during the three months period. At the time of of period heavy bleeding , once in a months, sometime two times in a month. taking iron food like Bedana, kismiss and other protein reach food. my weight is 72 kg. , can u say is is a case of anaemia? what should you do?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

A hemoglobin of 7.5 or 8.2 would be considered anemia. It should be at least 12 for a female though some labs may have a slightly lower limit.

It can be due to the heavy period that you are having. An ultrasound may be needed to find the source of the periods, it may be due to fibroids.

Medication to help with the periods and iron replacement , may be needed as well.
